APFest

The APFest is well known in Krasnoyarsk and abroad. It was one of the largest international music festivals in Russia and countries of the Asia-Pacific region.

Every 2 years festival participants from more than 30 countries came to Krasnoyarsk to share their cultural experience speaking the most understandable language in the world — the language of music.

The first festival was held in 1992 with the participation of 189 artists from 12 countries of the Asia-Pacific region. The last 5th festival was held in 2016 and gathered 2 times more participating countries. For the first time this event received the patronage of UNESCO, the most authoritative international support in the field of culture. The APFest was the first cultural event in the Siberian Federal District, which was held under the auspices of this organization.

During the APFest Krasnoyarsk was turned into a huge stage. Upscale orchestras and music groups, vocalists and various musicians, dancers
and artists from Siberia and the Far East of Russia as well as from the Asia-Pacific countries competed for the audience's attention.

The festival brought communities together and offered its visitors the knowledge about the art and cultures of the Asia-Pacific countries. At this multicultural event it was possible to harmoniously combine academic, traditional and modern art. The festival's program included breathtaking musical and theatrical performances, musical and dance experiments, unusual installations and exhibitions, and concerts of headliners.

The APFest was created not only for entertainment, but for international cultural networking and exchange. The festival brought local and international creative groups together. As a result, the new international projects were created in the region.
